The meeting was well attended by members from Western, Northern and South-east regions of the association. The meeting was held on 25th September, 2019 at Silver Oaks International School, Bangalore
Indian National Song rendered by the School Choir set the tone for the meeting.
Introductions of Members and the visiting Minister from Ghana.
Brief background of the genesis of the association and the objectives along with the success in registering it formally with Indian Government was shared in the meeting by Seetha Murty.
Ms Gifty T A addressed the members and shared about the education system in Ghana.
Stephanie Leong shared her ideas of collaboration with the association and suggested way forward for mutual advantage.
Members had questions/suggestions regarding DP exams, university recognitions, challenges of admissions, revaluation and the veracity, PD Costs etc., Stephanie, Mahesh and Vinayak responded to most of the queries and in some cases, they assured of a response soon after checking with the respective departments in IB.
A panel discussion on Opportunities and Challenges of Implementing PYP, MYP and DP was the last event of the meeting. The panelists shared their insights and invited a robust conversation from the members.
